Verification

What 'Verified' Really Means

The SIVAR Verified badge is not automatic. Every property earns it through a structured review. Here is exactly what that involves.

How we verify a property

  1. 01

    Application

The host submits property details, photos, and documents through our platform.

  2. 02

    Document Check

We verify government-issued ID, property ownership or tenancy proof, and any applicable licences.

  3. 03

    Property Inspection

Our team visits in person or conducts a live video walkthrough for remote locations. No exceptions.

  4. 04

    Safety Checklist

We check locks, lighting, water supply, emergency exits, and neighbourhood access against our 20-point standard.

  5. 05

    Host Interview

We speak with the host about house rules, guest expectations, emergency procedures, and women-safety practices.

  6. 06

    Badge Awarded

Property goes live with the Verified badge. Re-verification is triggered annually and on any safety complaint.

How we verify hosts

  • Aadhaar-linked KYC — mandatory for all listed hosts

  • Phone number verified via OTP before account activation

  • Reviewed against our Host Conduct Guidelines before first listing

Re-verification

  • Annual re-check for all listed properties

  • Triggered review on any guest complaint with a safety rating below 3 stars

  • Hosts can request re-verification after property upgrades

What it does not guarantee

Verification means we have done thorough due diligence — it does not mean we guarantee perfection. Travel involves an element of trust. If your stay does not match its verified standard, report it and we will investigate within 24 hours.
